Georgian is a photographer that contacted us to share some of his portfolio. Georgian works with mainly ISO 100 and 200 Kodak color films to capture his images. After trying a few cameras, Georgian bought a Nikon F80 in 2008 which he still uses to this day.
They’re the kind of pictures that can only be described by telling a whole chain of events. For example, the picture called “alphaville” has a story that stretches over the last 4 years or so. Then, if I start talking about “ghosts of christmas”, I’d have to start from my early childhood, tell you about my father and my brother, about my old house in my hometown, and maybe a lot more. “remember seek” strongly reminds me of E.E. Cummings’ poems, and that is related to “alphaville”. So there’s this intricate relationship between all of these moments and images, places I’ve been, things I’ve been through, persons I’ll never forget, ever. So, speaking of E.E. Cummings, I’d end this… let’s call it description, by quoting the great poet: “this hidden part – this most amazing part – of a larger Web of life we barely see”.
