We found Tomas Merriman on Flickr and were instantly drawn to his B&W work. When asked about his work, Tomas explained that he shoots “what my mind likes, nothing more”, which we think is a powerful statement. So often photography is pushed to have to stand for something greater, but truly powerful photos should be able to stand on their own.
Tomas frequently works in B&W, and we think that suits his work quite nicely. He also went on to add:
For a good bulk of my photos, I use an Olympus stylus infinity, but for slower, more fine tuned photos, I use a Mamiya RZ67 along with a 65mm. The point and shoot never stays at home, if I were to ever leave it behind, I guarantee you I’d miss some great moments.
